Spider Drags a Mouse up A Refrigerator Effortlessly

It seems like the unlikeliest of sights, and for someone like me who has managed to downplay the ability of spiders, I will be getting a real chance to rethink my stance as this is just too awesome.

In this video which was released on Facebook by Jason Wormal, we saw how a spider in Australia tries to carry a mouse up a refrigerator, and the interesting thing here is that the spider doesn’t even show that it’s carrying something heavy as its doing it like it’s no big deal.

According to Jason, “So I am just about to leave for work about 00:30 and my neighbor says ‘you want to see something cool’ and I say ‘hell yeah.’ So we proceed to his place and he shows me this, a Huntsman trying to eat a mouse.”

“We have named him Hermie, we have adopted him and he is now running his own extermination business out of our town Coppabella. Oh and he is now paying rent.”

Well, this is a pretty crazy thing to see just when Halloween is here. Huntsman spiders got that name because they are part of a family of spiders that includes over a thousand different species, and many of them are found in Australia, while some of them have been discovered in Africa, Asia, Mediterranean and the Americas.

These eight-legged spiders have been known to prey on vertebrates, even those larger than themselves, so it’s not strange to see it hunting lizards, small rodents, and even birds. But then, what makes this video pretty cool is that these spiders have not been seen crawling on walls carrying their victims.

This species of spiders is not dangerous to humans though larger ones can inflict painful bites. Like many animals, they are wary of humans, but when they feel threatened they may attack, but experts have advised using an ice pack to reduce inflammations when the spider attacks a person.

These are hairy spiders, and they mostly have gray or brown colors coating them. Many of them have banding on their legs, and they can grow as big as six inches. Well, this is pretty cool; to see how much power these seemingly weak creatures can exert on these victims teaches us a lot more about creation.
