September starts today, and that means a lot of things will be happening starting from this point. Students will be getting back to class, the wonderful Starbucks menu will be featuring pumpkin spice lattes once again and those cool sweaters will be leaving the hangers real soon. One other thing makes us expect this month, and that will be the return of the Saturday Night Live.
The SNL has managed to carve out a spot in our hearts, starting from those hilarious sketches to those killer performances. It has become a tradition for all hosts picked for the show to be outstanding, professional and very skilled at what they do. Yesterday night, (August 31) we saw SNL’s post on Instagram through which it announced that the floor was open for host suggestions.
Well, I have taken time to compile a list of top contenders, and I will be sharing them with you, after that I will pick the few I support.
Tegan and Sara, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Lin Manuel Miranda, Chance The Rapper, Mindy Kaling, Michael Phelps, Amy Schumer, Shawn Mendes, Rihanna, Dave Grohl, Adele, Nicki Minaj, Frank Ocean and Drake.
This is really interesting to see as it’s a very dicey list. All these are professionals, but which of them is best for the role? Please see the three best fits below.
She is the queen of rap, and this will not be the first time she appears on episodes of SNL. She is pretty confident and always energetic. This has been a very quiet year for this pretty lady, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be seeing the release of new hits before the year runs out. Well, you can just imagine how it feels to host the SNL and enter the 2016 music scene at the same time?
The summer was not too dull thanks to “One Dance” from Drake. He hosted the SNL last year and even went on to feature as a musical guest last season; well, the memories were really cool, and we would love to see a part 2. His appearance on the show was really entertaining. Those appearances have made us want more.
If there is one thing many of us have learnt from Adele in recent times, I think it will be her hilarious side. She has delivered awesome stage performances ever since she started her world tour in March 2016. Well, if she promises to bring that humorous side of hers to the SNL, then I will gladly have her host the SNL.
